Day, Coleman Partner to Bring New Community Sign to Heidelberg Township
May 20, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh) and Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-Lehigh/Bucks) today announced they secured a $43,000 Local Share Account (LSA) grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to purchase a new outdoor community sign for Heidelberg Township.
Act 71 of 2004 provides for the distribution of LSA gaming revenues through the CFA to support projects of public interest within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
“Even in this age of social media, important local information can still get missed,” Day said. “This new digital sign at Heidelberg will help ensure our residents – and those just traveling through – stay informed about key community news, events, and public safety updates. It’s a simple, effective way to improve transparency and keep everyone connected”
“I’m proud to join Representative Day in announcing this state grant sought by Heidelberg Township for a new digital sign at the municipal building,” Coleman said. “The township will soon be able to share upcoming event, traffic, safety and other important messages with area residents quickly and efficiently.”
The funding will pay for the purchase and installation of a digital municipal sign that will allow the township to instantly share multiple messages, such as meeting dates, road closures, public safety alerts, volunteer opportunities and community events without delay or limitations of the current manual sign.
